Stage costume dress for Kylie Minogue tribute act

Here is a new dress custom made for Kate Quick, a very talented artist, performing Kylie Minogue tribute acts. This golden dress was inspired by Kylie's ''Aphrodite's'' world tour. The main fabric is a sequined soft jersey,  hand-embellished with golden chains and doubled with pure cotton lining and . There are also few circular applique kept in the goddess theme.

''Secret Garden'' -2013

I've started creating this collection listening to the wonderful concertos composed by Vivaldi- the Four Seasons (1723).
This is the first time I tried this manner of inspiration, and I must admit that I wasn't able to actually produce all that appeared in my mind and papers while listening to it. So let's say that these 9 outfits are the essence of the total of 37 designs I came up with in the beginning.
This essence is unveiling the life of the flowers: blooming, growing and fading away, how they are found and then lost. The petals are presented in realistic prints, or cut-out appliqué, or as 3D embellishments. You will see delicate lace, fine chiffon, silky stiff taffeta, soft textures mixed with heavier embellishments, all handmade, of course.
I also kept few Baroque details and adapted them to the today's woman, by plying them on contemporary lines. It can be the little black dress, the cocktail party, the wedding or the "having dinner with my friends" outfit- they all have something feminine, romantic, detailed, one of a kind.

And now for some news:
I'd like to announce that starting this year, I will happily collaborate with my talented friend Bianca Milos, for the accessories. She designed and hand made all the wonderful belts, headbands and necklaces for this collection. You will find all the details for each of them in the description of the pictures. Bianca will launch her blog soon.
